The long-awaited Messi debut for his new club came in the Leagues Cup against Mexican club Cruz Azul, and he made the difference in the final minute.

Beckham emotional after Messi's freekick
Football legend David Beckham co-owns the club with American businessman Jorge Mas and was instrumental in bringing Messi to the soccer league.
He was in disbelief after the Argentina captain gave the team a win with a trademark freekick in the final minute and could not hide his emotions with tears of joy.
The former England international was a freekick master during his days and earned the catchphrase "bend it like Becks" for his technique.
The victory ends Miami's eleven mes winless run as they prepare to face Atlanta United next in the league.
